Red

Everyone’s brother. Big Jim, or simply ‘Red’, our friend went by a few names. To us he was also “Aurin the Red”, and beloved family member.

Red could often be found cooking – a passion of his, and we all benefited greatly not only from the great foods he’d make, but the care he’d put in to teaching you what he was doing…even if no one knew a lesson was occurring – such was his easy manor.

Few people had a more infections smile, that warmed you as you were greeted by him each time; a strong handshake and big hug immediately to follow.

In 2016 Red developed various health issues, that eventually compounded. On 7 April, 2016 after a strong fight, a heart attack took him from us entirely too soon, and with little warning.
